10th Anniversary Celebration
July 27, 2008:   The Big Apple Hockey Festival - Mayor's Cup is a four-day international field hockey tournament held over Labor Day weekend at the Aviator Sports & Recreation Mega-Sports Complex. The tournament, hosted by Big Apple Hockey (BAHF) in partnership with the New York City Sports Commission, brings together international, domestic and local field hockey communities to participate in a competitive and festive environment.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the festival. The Mayors Cup has grown into a truly international event with participants expected from Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Spain, India, Canada, Pakistan and the USA.

Sanctioned by the United States Field Hockey Association (USFHA)

The 2008 Hockey Festival - Mayor's Cup will be held on August 29 - September 1, 2008 at the Aviator Sports & Recreation Mega -Sports Complex.


Brooklyn's Aviator Sports & Recreation, hosts the Big Apple Memorial Six-a-Side
May 27, 2008:   Fifty (50) Teams competed in the 2008 Big Apple Memorial Six-a-Side tournament at the Aviator Sports & Recreation complex in Brooklyn over the Memorial Day weekend. Competition was held in four divisions: Men, Women, U-19 Girls, and U-16 Girls on Saturday and Sunday.


University of Maryland threepeats at BAHF Indoor
February 4, 2008:   Two thrilling finals concluded a hectic weekend of indoor hockey featuring 12 ladies and 8 mens teams at the 2008 International Indoor Tournament at Riverbank State Park, New York.


Shredders and RYE repeat on "Big Apple Hockey Festival Day"
September 3, 2007:   On a weather perfect Labor Day, that was also proclaimed Big Apple Hockey Festival Day in the city by New Yorks Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the 2001 & 2003 champions Washington Shredders and defending champion Rye took the honors again with cash prize and the Mayors trophy.

Lombi Leads the Rye Pirates
September 5, 2006:   Lombi leads the Pirates to Big Apple cash and Malvern repeats as Ladies Champions in New York.


Four Teams Crowned
June 1, 2006:   Thirty-two teams competed at the 2006 Memorial Six-A-Side tournament held at Dewitt Clinton HS over the Memorial Day weekend.
