2010 Hockey Festival - Mayor's Cup
The Big Apple Hockey Festival - Mayor's Cup has been moved from the first weekend in September (Labor Day) to the first weekend in August.The 2010 Big Apple Hockey Festival - Mayor's Cup will be held on August 6th - 8th at the Aviator Sports and Recreation Center, New York City, USA (www.Aviatorsports.com).
Participating teams will be competiting in three divisions, U-19 Girls, Men and Women open.
Tournament play will start on the Friday (August 6) with the U-19 Girls Division. The Men and Women Divisions will start play on the Saturday (August 7). Foreign Teams will have the option to start play on the Friday (August 6).
The Organizing Committee believes that by having the tournament on the first weekend in August and with the addition of a U-19 Girls division, will generate more interest from teams/clubs and individuals, both foreign and domestic, and allow this tournament to rebound from the 2009 cancelation.
Space is very limited and Teams/Clubs will be accepted on a first come basis.
